I'm from Texas and there's nothing I like more than mining all the good, authentic, roots music that oozes from just about every corner of the State. To me, it doesn't get any better than Doug Sahm, as far as I'm concerned, Honkey Blues is where it's at. It is my favorite Sir Doug album in his cannon of music, from Sir Douglas Quintet to Doug Sahm Band and into Texas Tornadoes.
